Lovely life happenings

Lately I've been loving:

1. Year round school. Yesterday I tracked off for a whole month!  I'm so excited to be just a mommy. To attempt potty training Zoe, and maybe get some spring cleaning done.  I hope the weather cooperates to allow us some sun and exercise.

2. My handy husband.  Andy has been working like crazy trying to get the basement complete. He has done most of it all by himself. Sad that is the circumstance, but glad he has the ability and smarts to do it. We are lucky that our tax refund will cover at least half of it. I can't wait for the space, my preschool and some organization!  Looking forward to that.

3. Well behaved children.  I would not have been able to say that 6 months ago.  Zoe is turning into a sweet and loving little girl.  I love her calm temperament and caring ways.  She loves to heel owees with a "ikissitbetter", send love whenever she thinks mom and dad are down, and laugh with brother
Titan.  I love how she counts everything, even though 4 and 5 do not exist in her world. I love that the dogs can keep her entertained longer than any toy or video.

4. Hard life lessons and true colors.  These lessons allow me to lean on my husband for support and friendship.  Sometimes at the end of the day it seems the only people we can count on are each other.  I'm sure glad we have each other.  I'm glad we are forced to focus and strengthen the family inside the walls of our home.  I'm sure somehow these tears make me stronger.

5. Family Home Evening. I would probable love it more if I actually did it. Lessons from conference and relief society have reminded me to focus more on teaching my children the gospel. I have made a commitment to making it a priority to have FHE weekly. I owe Heavenly Father everything for blessing me with my children and I can not break the promises I made to Him.

6. My children. I know I'm not alone when I say I thought I would never be able to have any.  Too many of us have struggled having children.  I'm not sure why my prayers were answered with a yes and others are still waiting.  But, it sure has made me a better mother.I'm so excited to spend all my energy on Zoe and Titan these next few weeks.

7. Airplanes.  Not so much. I actually fear flying even though I have flown more times than I can remember. But to be home in KY in just a few hours is exciting. I'm hoping people won't look at me like I have a plague (their just children, people!) since Andy is flying with me.  I can't wait to spend the week with my family and enjoy places where everybody knows your name.  Simply and sweetly put, I'm going Home.

This next week I'll be loving Cincinnati Chili- yum, yum!, might not be loving road trips with small children as we drive to D.C., will/will not be loving that my lil baby boy will be 6 months old and will FOR SURE be loving some temple time as my lil brother gets married.
